Well hello!<\/h2>

Hooray for and extra day in 2024! I hope this doesn\u2019t mean an extra day of rain. I don\u2019t know about where you live but in on the outskirts of Bristol it feels like we\u2019ve had rain every single day this month. With flooding all over the place it goes to show that wellies do come in handy! Also learnt I don\u2019t like driving through flooded lanes but I\u2019m getting used to it. <\/p>

So I decided I would start a monthly blog for publishing on the 29th of each month (might have a problem the next 3 February\u2019s, but that\u2019s a next year problem!) and blog about something I\u2019ve learnt and want to share or something I have been up to at T-Rex HQ.<\/p>

For the first one I thought I would do a little founder\u2019s story so you can find out a little bit more about me and why I started T-Rex Clothing.<\/p>

I\u2019m Gemma, a mum of two girls living on the outskirts of Bristol. I was born and raised in Bristol and I do have quite the Bristolion accent. I have a degree in Photography and graduated in 2012 and I decided to also start another degree about 3 years ago in Healthcare and Health science which I juggle with work and the girls.<\/p>

As you might be able to tell I like to be busy and have quite a few hobbies, I am learning to surf at The Wave, I am a keen sewer and I love being outdoors especially camping in the warmer weather or hiking. I also was born into Scouts and now a volunteer with an Explorer Scout unit.<\/p>

T-Rex Clothing actually started off known as Tee-Rex back in August 2020. It started randomly one day when I was sat on my own during a lunch break thinking of things I could do to keep me busy (given back then we were in lockdown and couldn\u2019t go anywhere). I thought it would be pretty cool to start a clothing brand and started researching places where I could do this.<\/p>

That\u2019s where I came across Teemill which ticked so many boxes as they don\u2019t just manufacture our clothing, they do it whilst being conscious of the planet. All cotton is sustainably sourced from the beginning. Production is completely powered by renewable energy PLUS all of the clothing is made on demand and recyclable. Being eco minded and doing what I can whilst always looking for ways to improve this was perfect for me. I love how our products are made especially for each individual.<\/p>

Most of the designs and idea\u2019s are literally my brain just put onto clothing and other products which I love designing. My inspiration comes from things surrounding me, things happening in life and an obsession we have over dinosaurs.<\/p>

One of our most recent products the Ta Women\u2019s Jumper was inspired by Baby-Rex who is only one. She\u2019s a girl who knows what she wants (food wise) and her most commonly used word is \u2018Ta\u2019. Plus I don\u2019t know why but I love the word.<\/p>
